A Webinar with Women in Tech: Kazakhstan Representative Held at the Faculty of Physics and Technology. SDG 5

As part of the celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, a webinar was held at the Faculty of Physics and Technology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University with the participation of Dinara Kozhamzharova, Acting Deputy Director of the Institute of Automation and Information Technologies at Satbayev University, representing the Women in Tech: Kazakhstan cluster.
Women in Tech® Global is a leading international organization dedicated to reducing the gender gap in technology and inspiring women to advance in this field. Founded in 2018 by Ayumi Moore Aoki, the organization operates in 54 countries across six continents and has a thriving community of over 250,000 members. By 2030, Women in Tech® Global aims to impact 5 million women and girls in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), aligning its efforts with seven Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Four Pillars of Women in Tech® Global:
🔹 Education – providing women with essential skills for careers in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics).
🔹 Business – supporting women entrepreneurs and leaders in the technology sector.
🔹 Digital Inclusion – ensuring equal access to technology and digital resources.
🔹 Advocacy – fighting gender stereotypes and promoting systemic change in the industry.
The organization is part of the Edison Alliance, initiated by the World Economic Forum (WEF), and actively promotes tech diplomacy to influence global policies and create a more inclusive digital future.
The webinar was held under the aegis of UN Sustainable Development Goal No. 5 – "Gender Equality", emphasizing the importance of equal opportunities for women in science and technology.
