THE DEPARTMENT OF FAR EASTERN STUDIES PARTICIPATED IN A MEETING WITH EMPLOYERS

The Department of Far Eastern Studies took part in another meeting of the Employers' Council, which was held on February 18, 2025, at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi KazNU. The meeting was conducted in both offline and online formats.

Corporate Secretary of JSC "LOTTE RAKHAT" A.Malgazhdarova, Head of the Japanese Language Department at the Kazakhstan-Japan Center Ch.Kanbalaeva, Head of the Cultural Center at the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Almaty Hossein Agazadeh, Director of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytzhamal Kayirbekovna, Head of the Human Resources Department at the China Chamber of Commerce and Industry Bank in Almaty D.Manapova, Director of the "Saqr Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi" School for Gifted Children M.Dosmailova, Representative of "Leela Internationals" LLP A.Stadnichenko, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of JSC "DB KZI Bank" G.Masenova and General Director of the construction company RAMS Serkan Uysal were invited to the meeting.

The Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, N.Yem, opened the meeting with a welcoming speech, introducing the activities of the faculty. Head of the Department of Far Eastern Studies, A.B. Abagan, presented a report on the progress of organizing and conducting students' internships. Head of the Department of Chinese Studies, E.A. Kerimbayev, and Head of the Department of Turkology and History of Eastern Countries, M.Sh. Egamberdiev, discussed issues related to updating internship bases and graduate employment. Head of the Department of Middle Eastern and South Asian Studies, D.M. Kokeeva, shared her opinion on increasing the number of students in the department and attracting sponsors from among employers.

Such meetings are primarily held to establish close ties with employers in the professional development of students. They aim to improve students' internship experiences and employment opportunities, as well as strengthen cooperation between the departments and employers.

During the event, several important issues were discussed, including increasing the number of students, updating internship bases, graduate employment, raising scholarships, and supporting students. At the end of the meeting, decisions and proposals were made on the discussed topics, and concrete steps were taken to strengthen cooperation between employers and departments.
