KazNU hosted the event "From Waste to Resources: New Culture of Consumption"

On 17 February 2025, an educational event ‘From Waste to Resources: New Culture of Consumption’ aimed at supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The event was attended by 1st year students of the educational programme ‘6B05102 - Biology’ who donated clothes to the collection points of the eco-project ‘Teplo’ within the framework of SDG №12 ‘Responsible Consumption and Production’. This initiative emphasised the importance of recycling as an effective way of solving environmental problems, including the conservation of natural resources and the formation of an ecological culture.

Under the guidance of Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor B.I. Imanbekova and Senior Lecturer of the Department of Biodiversity and Bioresources E.G. Zaparina, the event was organised by PhD-doctoral student of the Department of Biodiversity and Bioresources, speciality ‘8D05108 - Geobotany’ A.A. Alikhanova.
