Visit to the Kazakh state academic theater for children and youth named after Gabit Musrepov

On February 20, 2025, the Department of Religious Studies and Cultural Studies at the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (KazNU) visited the play “Teacher” at the Gabit Musrepov Kazakh State Academic Theater for Children and Youth as part of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 17 – “Partnerships for the Goals.”

The event was organized by Acting Head of the Department S.M. Kaupenbayeva, along with senior lecturers Nurzat Mukan, U.A. Tungatova, and A.A. Mukhanbet.

Participants of this event included not only KazNU students but also cadets from the National Security Committee (NSC) Academy, students from S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University, students from School-Gymnasium No. 36 in Almaty, as well as master’s and doctoral students from our faculty.

Significance of the Event

Theater is a vital cultural space that shapes the audience’s aesthetic appreciation and contributes to their spiritual development. This event not only increased young people’s interest in theatrical art but also made a significant contribution to strengthening partnerships between educational institutions and fostering cultural and educational collaboration.

The joint participation of universities and school students serves as a clear example of strengthening ties between educational institutions and supporting the cultural development of youth. Participants gained an unforgettable experience from the performance and enriched themselves spiritually.
