Graduates of the joint Master 2 BioWARE program

Six Master's students of the Department of Biotechnology – Zarina Abzhami, Manapov Nurasyl, Ermek Aruzhan Kanatbekkyzy, Kenzhegalieva Ayazhan Kenzhegalikyzy, Raisova Kamila Abaevna, Sadykbek Tolganay Erkinkyzy, who completed one year of study (2023-2024 academic year) in the program “7M05109 – Biotechnology” within the framework of double degree program, implemented jointly with the University of Lorraine ENSAIA France have now received the status of specialists with a double degree.

The Master 2 BioWARE Master's program offers skills in the Biorefinery Engineering accounting for bioeconomy requirements, for sustainability of the agro- and wood resources. This academic and professional curriculum, funded by the Abai-Verne Scholarship Program with a full grant and a scholarship of 800 euros, has provided graduates with the opportunity to gain in-depth theoretical knowledge and practical experience in biorefinery, use of recyclable raw materials and bioconversion, thus enhancing their competitiveness in the industry.

As part of the program, students were introduced to modern technologies and researched current industry issues. This opportunity strengthened their confidence in their profession in biotechnology, waste-free technologies and contributed to the development of professional competencies at the international level.
