PhD, senior lecturer at the Department of Theoretical and Nuclear Physics Zaripova Yu.A., completed the online Coursera course on "Elementary Particle Physics" at the University of Geneva based on the study of nuclear and particle physics. During the course, the following questions were considered: -What properties do atomic nuclei have and how can they be used? - How to accelerate and detect particles and measure their properties? - How to look for new phenomena besides the known ones? - What can you learn from particle physics in relation to astrophysics and the universe as a whole? Methods and methods of searching for new phenomena that go beyond the known ones described in the Standard Model were considered.
