A forum dedicated to the continuity of education and science was held at KazNU

The scientific and pedagogical forum "Pedagogy of Kazakhstan: Continuity of Education and Science", dedicated to discussing the education development policy in the country, was held at Al-Farabi KazNU.

The forum was attended by the Minister of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Gani Beisembaev, the Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, as well as prominent scholars and qualified educators.

A scientific and educational exhibition showcasing the university's faculties was organized for the guests and participants of the forum.

The Minister of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Gani Beisembaev, addressed the forum. Highlighting the key role of pedagogical education, the Minister stated that to achieve high results in this field, it is essential to unite pedagogy with science and the scientific community. Such collaboration will not only improve the quality of training for future educators but also introduce innovative methods and technologies into the educational process. Scientific research can serve as the foundation for developing new curricula that meet modern demands and challenges. The Minister emphasized the importance of creating platforms for knowledge exchange between scholars and educators, which will help develop effective solutions for enhancing pedagogical education.

During the plenary session, the rector of KazNU, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, highlighted the university's role in shaping the educational ecosystem of Kazakhstan and informed the forum participants about the university's development program for 2022-2026.

The development program of KazNU, as a research university, outlines important objectives such as the integration of pedagogical education with science and education, ensuring academic leadership, enhancing the contribution of university science to the economy, and improving the corporate governance model. To achieve these goals, KazNU structures the educational process on the principle of continuity, creating a cohesive learning ecosystem where graduates of schools and colleges can seamlessly integrate into higher education.

"In 2024, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University celebrated its 90th anniversary. Thanks to its rich history, the high level of professionalism of its teachers and scholars, the university has become globally competitive, consistently ranking highly in leading national and international rankings", - said the rector of KazNU.

It was also noted that KazNU, together with the National Academy of Education named after Y.Altynsarin of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, will open the Institute for Educational Research. The Institute's branch will be established at the National Academy of Education named after Y.Altynsarin. The Institute will focus on scientific research to create a unified and consistent education system in Kazakhstan.

During the forum, four sessions were held, addressing current issues in preschool, secondary, technical and vocational, post-secondary, as well as higher and postgraduate education. Participants discussed issues and made recommendations on pedagogical education, the integration of the scientific potential of domestic scholars to develop effective solutions for improving pedagogical education, and other relevant topic

During the forum, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the National Academy of Education named after Y.Altynsarin of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

At the conclusion of the event, a campus tour was organized for the participants, during which they visited the Kazakhstan-China Joint Laboratory of "Remote Sensing Technology and Applications", the Supercomputer Center, the KazNU Robotics Industrial Robotics Center, and the innovation center "Farabi Hub".
