On February 27, 2025, the Department of Religious Studies and Cultural Studies organized an educational excursion for 2nd-year students of the “Islamic Studies” program to the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The main goal of the excursion was to develop students’ and master’s students’ research skills, introduce them to rare book collections, and familiarize them with religious literature.
Library staff member Kuttykyz Kasymbekova provided the participants with comprehensive information about the library’s history and services, showcasing everything from ancient manuscripts to modern publications. The students found this meeting to be highly educational and insightful.
Kuttykyz Apa’s words, “Think wisely – your thoughts shape your future,” left a profound impact on the students. She encouraged young scholars to visit the library frequently and deepen their knowledge.
Event organizers:
Associate Professor M.R. Baltymova, PhD, Senior Lecturer D.S. Utebayeva, 1st-year Master’s student Zhubanov Bekdaulet
