About the work of the local "Parasat" trade union of workers The Al-Farabi University

Speaking about the activities of the university's trade union organization, it should be noted that it is conducted in the areas of Sustainable Development Goals. In particular, these are the items "Good health and well-being" and "Quality education". At the recent Reporting Conference of the trade union committee, its head, T.K. Mekebayev, highlighted the main results of the work for the jubilee year 2025 for the university.

Traditionally, the activity of a trade union organization is the organization of events for the comprehensive social support of our employees. The country's leading university pays great attention and takes an active part in the work in all areas of the SDGs.

Such events as organizing summer vacations for employees on Lake Issyk-Kul; compensating employees for summer vacations in sanatoriums, as well as children of employees in camps in the country; honoring anniversaries; holding a competition among teaching and support staff "The Best by profession"; organizing and holding an annual sports contest among teaching staff; presenting portfolios with all necessary supplies for future first graders; assistance in organizing various conferences and round tables... The "Parasat" trade union committee is actively involved in almost all events held at the university. The trade union is at the forefront of the events organized by the university administration. Among the specific tasks completed in 2024 with the active participation of the trade union organization are the opening of a mother and child room; organization of assistance to flood victims in the western regions of the country last spring. We should also note that the trade union organization took an active part in all the events dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The conference delegates who spoke in the debate emphasized the importance of all that had been done and unanimously praised the work of the public organization, expressing hope for the success of the further activities of the local "Parasat" trade union of al-Farabi Kazakh National University employees aimed at social support for university staff.
