Preservation of terrestrial ecosystems

On February 27, 2025, as part of the pedagogical practice, an educational event “Environmental responsibility and science: the importance of the profession in the modern world” was organized at the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University in accordance with the sustainable development goal “Preservation of terrestrial ecosystems”. The event was organized by 1st year doctoral students in the specialties "Biotechnology" and "Virology", under the guidance of PhD, Associate Professor Alchimbayeva A.B., M.Sc., assistant of the Department of "Technology and Food Safety" Valieva G.A. and candidate of agricultural sciences professor Kultaev B.

The speakers were: PhD students Svanbaev A., Kholova A., Sissemalі K., Sergazin Zh. During the event, the speakers discussed how scientific research helps combat climate change, what new technologies help reduce environmental pollution, how science helps preserve biodiversity, what environmental threats are most pressing today, how the concept of sustainable development influences science and economics, how scientific education contributes to the formation of environmental awareness.

At the end of the event, the participants asked the speakers relevant questions and exchanged opinions on the topic under discussion. The participants of the event emphasized the importance of environmental responsibility in the modern world and aroused great interest among the participants.
