YOUR FUTURE PROFESSION – YOUR CHOICE TODAY

On February 27, 2025, the career fair titled “Your Future Profession – Your Choice Today” was held in Almaty, Medeu District, organized by Gymnasium School No. 172. The main goal of the event was to provide future graduates with comprehensive information about in-demand professions in today’s labor market and to help them choose a career that aligns with their abilities and interests.

We sincerely express our gratitude for the high-level organization of the event to: Alya Sbankulovna Chormanova, Director of Gymnasium School No. 172, Erkesh Sadykovna Jakupova, Career Guidance Specialist at the Labor Mobility Center, Shynbolat Ergalievich Amangaliyev, Vocational Guidance Specialist.

The fair was attended by five leading universities and 17 colleges from across the country. During the event, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Senior Lecturer Turarov D.R. spoke about the importance of obtaining a higher education and becoming a professional in today's job market. He also provided insights into the "Economics" and "Digital Economy" programs. Additionally, first-year students of the Economics program at KazNU, Alina Karibai and Asemai Koishybay, shared their experiences about choosing a profession and their studies at the university.

A total of 310 students participated in the fair, including: 134 students from 11th grade 176 students from 10th grade. They actively engaged in the event, asked questions of interest, and received detailed information about various professions. This demonstrated the high level of student interest in career guidance and their serious approach to choosing a future profession.

In conclusion, this event was organized in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG): SDG 4 – «Quality Education», SDG 8 – «Decent Work and Economic Growth».

The event provided students with a valuable opportunity to receive career guidance, define their aspirations, and make an informed decision about their future profession.
