"CLEAN WATER AND SANITARY: WHY IT IS IMPORTANT"

On February 20, 2025, the faculty of the Department of Biotechnology organized an event for the students of the 1st year of the specialty “Biotechnology” on the topic: CLEAN WATER AND SANITARY: WHY IT IS IMPORTANT.

Water is one of the most important natural resources, which is an integral part of life for all living organisms. Water is the main factor of transmission of various microorganisms, and outbreaks of infectious diseases are associated with it. There are certain requirements for drinking water. In its appearance, drinking water should be completely transparent, fresh and free of any odor. In addition, the chemical composition of drinking water must be completely harmless and free of pathogens.

Problems of ensuring access to clean drinking water can be optimally regulated only in the presence of developed legislation in this sphere, which meets modern requirements and takes into account national interests of the society.
