The winners of the competition "The best university teacher – 2024"

On February 26, 2025, the award ceremony for the winners of the "Best University Teacher – 2024" competition took place. According to the results of the republican competition committee, teachers of the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry, Associate Professor, Doctor of Chemical Sciences Dina Nauryzbaevna Akbayeva and Associate Professor, Candidate of Chemical Sciences Gulzira Kazhmuratovna Vasilina, became the holders of the title "Best University Teacher – 2024". They became the owners of a badge and a monetary reward. They were among the top 150 teachers from 38 Kazakhstani universities. 
946 applicants from 90 higher educational institutions of the country participated in the competition.  The competition was held on the basis of the information system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Applications and documents for participation in the competition "The best University Teacher – 2024" were also accepted in electronic format. This ensured the transparency of the competition. The commission also included representatives of NGOs, university associations and experts in the field of higher education.
The competition is held annually in order to increase the prestige of the teaching profession and encourage them to further professional development. The competition evaluated such indicators as the development and publication of electronic educational resources, educational materials, scientific publications in domestic and international journals, patents for inventions, etc. The quality of the applicant's teaching and his work on training personnel in bachelor's, master's and doctoral studies were also evaluated.
