Opening of the K.S. Musabekov classroom: contribution to the preservation of scientific heritage

On March 6, 2025, a classroom named after Kylyshbay Satimbekovich Musabekov—director of the Biological Museum, honored teacher, candidate of biological sciences, and associate professor—was inaugurated at the Department of Biodiversity and Bioresources, Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The opening ceremony was led by Altay Gabdrakhmanovich Kazmagambetov, a member of the Board and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs at KazNU, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, and Professor.

Among the attendees were Meruert Sakenovna Kurmanbayeva, Dean of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, Doctor of Biological Sciences, and Professor; Abdygali Salbekovich Begmanov, member of the Board of the Agency for Land Resources Management of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Corresponding Member of the National Engineering Academy of Kazakhstan, Candidate of Geographical Sciences, and Professor; Akmaral Sadykovna Nurmakhanova, Head of the Department, PhD, and Associate Professor; Ashimkhan Toktasinovich Kanaev, Doctor of Biological Sciences and Professor; Birlikbay Eszhanovich Eszhanov, Candidate of Biological Sciences and Professor; Abibulla Ametovich Ametov, Candidate of Biological Sciences and Professor; faculty members; as well as Kylyshbay Satimbekovich's wife, Maria Iskanovna Raimova, his children, relatives, colleagues, and friends.

The classroom named after Kylyshbay Satimbekovich Musabekov serves to preserve the historical legacy of distinguished educators and scientists while also enhancing the department’s informational and exhibition potential.
