Legal Research Centre opened

The grand opening of the China-Central Asia Law Detection and Research Center took place at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

 

The center will serve as a platform for the exchange of knowledge, research, and best practices in the legal field, which will undoubtedly bring great benefits to both the academic community and the country as a whole.

The opening ceremony of the center was attended by the leadership of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Faculty of Law, representatives of the teaching staff, scholars, and students of the university.

The event was opened with a welcoming speech by the Chairman of the Board – Rector of KazNU, Zhanseit Tuimebayev. "The center will become a major platform for further strengthening the partnership between Kazakhstan and China in the legal field, conducting joint scientific projects, developing academic mobility, and improving internationally recognized educational programs. I am confident that the work of the center will enhance the professional qualifications of future lawyers and scholars, providing a new impetus for legal research and innovation", - emphasized the university leader.

The event also featured speeches by Zhao Wangdun, Party Secretary of the Northwest University of Political Science and Law, Liu Yajun, Dean of the School of International Law and Executive Director of the Center for Legal Expertise and Research, and others.

As part of the event, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Northwest University of Political Science and Law, marking the beginning of a new phase of bilateral partnership and joint scientific research.

The honorary guests and participants of the event also visited the China-Kazakhstan Legal Research Center at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, where they familiarized themselves with its activities.

The China-Central Asia Law Detection and Research Center will open new horizons for students, researchers, and practitioners, contributing to the deepening of academic ties between the two countries. The center will become an important link within the "One Belt, One Road" initiative, highlighting Kazakhstan's strategic role as a bridge between the East and the West.
