"A Healthy Generation – A Bright Future: Promoting a Culture of Health Among Youth."

As part of the pedagogical practice and in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG-3), on March 11, 2025, first-year doctoral students of the 8D05102 – "Biomedicine" program at KazNU, under the guidance of Associate Professor of the Department of Pedagogy and Educational Management, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences E.T. Bayarstanova and Professor of the Department of Biophysics, Biomedicine, and Neuroscience, Candidate of Biological Sciences N.T. Ablaikhanova conducted an open educational session at the Institute of Genetics and Physiology on the topic "A Healthy Generation – A Bright Future: Promoting a Culture of Health Among Youth."
The event was attended by employees of the Institute of Genetics and Physiology, as well as first-year students majoring in Dentistry at the Higher School of Medicine of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
The goal of the open educational session was to discuss key aspects of a healthy lifestyle and promote a culture of health among students. During the event, particular attention was paid to issues of proper nutrition, physical activity, psycho-emotional well-being, and the prevention of chronic diseases.
As part of the educational event, Senior Researcher at the Laboratory of Lymphatic System Physiology at the Institute of Genetics and Physiology, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Professor S.N. Abdreshov shared his scientific experience and introduced participants to the main research areas of the institute. The doctoral students presented the results of studies related to the biomedical aspects of health, while the students actively engaged in the discussion, asked questions, and shared their thoughts.
At the end of the session, a quiz was held to reinforce the acquired knowledge. The questions covered topics such as a healthy lifestyle, the impact of harmful habits on the body, and modern approaches to health improvement. The students demonstrated a high level of knowledge and actively engaged in answering the questions.
