"The quality of Education and Learning"

On March 10, 2025, the Department of Turkology and Language Theory of the Faculty of Philology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, under the guidance of Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor E.P. Keldibayevna, and Senior Lecturer D.A. Maratkhanovna, held an open educational hour on the topic: "The quality of Education and Learning" as part of the scientific and pedagogical practice (SDG direction). The event was organized by the first-year doctoral students specializing in "8D01705 – Foreign Language: two foreign languages." The students and the first- and the second-year PhD students of "6B01730 – Foreign Language: two foreign languages" major took an active participation and showed and great interes in the open educational hour. The primary goal of the event was to develop students' skills and abilities for obtaining quality education, to introduce them to successful learning techniques, and to explore ways to improve information retention. During the event, the key topics were discussed, including the importance of student motivation for quality learning, the formation of effective study skills, the significance of continuous self-development, and the relevance of proper organization of the educational process. The experienced mentors and qualified specialists shared their insights and answered participants' questions.
At the end of the discussions and activities, a survey on the opportunities and resources available in the field of education in Kazakhstan was conducted among the participants. The event emphasized that obtaining quality education is crucial not only for an individual’s future but also for ensuring the socio-economic development and progressive growth of the country. The formation of highly qualified specialists and the development of the best young professionals in every field form the foundation of the country’s sustainable development and competitiveness. Thus, the open educational hour made a significant contribution to the conscious organization of the learning process, students' self-development, and their confident steps toward the future.
