SDG-16: Otbasy Bank specialists introduced the "National Fund for Children" program to students

28 january, 2025

On January 28, an information meeting on the “National Fund for Children” project was held at our educational institution with the participation of representatives of Otbasy Bank. Students of the Faculty of Physics and Technology born in 2006-2007 attended this event. They received detailed information about the project and answers to their questions.

The “National Fund for Children” project has been implemented since 2024. This project involves opening special savings accounts for children and adolescents under the age of 18 in the country. Within the framework of the project, a certain amount of funds will be allocated from the National Fund annually, which will be spent on children’s education, housing, medical services and other important needs.

During the meeting, specialists from Otbasy Bank paid special attention to students born in 2006-2007, because they will soon turn 18 and will have the opportunity to use the accumulated funds for their own needs. The specialists explained to students how to open savings accounts and use funds effectively, and answered all their questions in detail.

The students found the meeting useful and fully understood how to use their savings in the future. In addition, students who did not have a savings account were offered the opportunity to open a new account, and bank representatives explained in detail the procedure for its registration.

This event was an important step in increasing the financial literacy of students and making it possible to effectively use the funds allocated by the state.
