Career guidance event for 2nd year students of Biotechnology, Microbiology and Biological Engineering majors

On 27 February 2025, the Institute of Microbiology and Virology hosted a career guidance event for 2nd year students of Biotechnology, Microbiology and Biological Engineering majors in the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG-2 and SDG-3) aimed at eliminating hunger and ensuring health and well-being. The students visited the Institute of Microbiology and Virology in Almaty, where research is being conducted on the development of biopreparations to enhance crop growth, as well as alternative biopreparations to replace chemical pesticides, which helps to preserve ecosystems and improve product quality. During the event, students participated in discussions and interactive tasks aimed at realising the importance of sustainable solutions in agriculture and food industry.
