A student of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology won 3rd place in the Diana Tulegenova SPE/AIChE Awards competition.

Diana Tulegenova, co-founder of SPE KazNU (Society of Petroleum Engineers), organized the competition to recognize contributions to student organizations AIChE KazNU and SPE KazNU. On March 18 at 18:00, the winners of the «Diana Tulegenova SPE | AIChE Awards» were announced, where Dias Alimbetov, a student of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, secured 3rd place and received a cash prize of 100,000 tenge.
Dias Alimbetov, a second-year Neuroscience student, is also the president of AIChE KazNU (American Institute of Chemical Engineers). From 2023 to 2025, he organized six science-popularization lectures with biologists and chemists, focusing on promising research directions and science commercialization. Additionally, he arranged two student excursions—one to a molecular biology laboratory and another to a biotechnological chlorella production facility. Furthermore, he organized the intellectual biology competition "BioGames," featuring three prize-winning places. For his significant contribution to student scientific activities and increasing interest in science, he was honored with this prestigious award.
