Meeting on SDG 17: International Cooperation

On March 20, 2025, within the framework of the Faculty of Pre-University Education at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the Department of Language and General Education Training for Foreigners held a meeting with representatives of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Almaty. The event was organized as part of the international cooperation initiative and in celebration of the department's 40th anniversary, under the social project covering Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) No. 17: "Strengthening the means of implementation and revitalizing the global partnership for sustainable development."

The meeting was attended by Consul Lu Zhengyu, Consul Attaché Liu Chunyu, Consul Attaché Liu Zixi, and Consul Attaché Lin Chenshin from the Chinese Consulate General in Almaty, along with faculty members and Chinese students studying the Russian and Kazakh languages.

In his welcome speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Pre-University Education, Spatay Altynbekuly Sartaev, introduced the history of the faculty and department, as well as their scientific, methodological, and educational activities. Throughout the meeting, participants delivered presentations, exchanged views, and engaged in discussions. The students had the opportunity to ask questions, and topics related to bilateral cooperation in education and science were actively explored.
