The event “Dostyk Dastarkhan” (“Table of Friendship”)

On March 21, 2025, the Department of Religious Studies and Culturology at the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted the event “Dostyk Dastarkhan” (“Table of Friendship”) dedicated to Unity Day in honor of the great holiday of Nauryz. The event was organized by faculty members Borbasova K., Kaupenbayeva S.M., Baltymova M., Mukhan Nurzat, and Mukhanbet A.A.

Third-year students of the Religious Studies program actively participated in the celebration. They promoted national traditions, set a festive table, prepared dishes from different cultures, and shared interesting information about how Nauryz is celebrated in various nations.

“Dostyk Dastarkhan” was not just a festive gathering but also a significant event that strengthened the bonds between students and faculty while emphasizing the importance of unity and harmony in a multicultural society. Each participant had the opportunity to taste Nauryz kozhe, baursak, and other traditional dishes while exchanging warm wishes.

This event once again proved that Nauryz is not only a time of nature’s renewal but also a symbol of friendship and harmony among people. Such gatherings contribute to the spiritual development of young people and encourage the preservation of national traditions.
