Heroism That Left a Mark: The 100th Anniversary of Aliya Moldagulova" — A Memorable Event at al-Farabi KazNU

A significant and emotional event took place at al-Farabi Kazakh National University, in the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science — an event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Kazakh heroine Aliya Moldagulova. The event was organized within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals and was timed to coincide with the end of World War II and the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory.

The event brought together all those interested in preserving the memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War. It was not only a commemoration of Aliya Moldagulova’s heroic feat, but also an opportunity to remind people of the importance of peace, justice, and unity in the world, values that we must protect and pass on to future generations. During the event, important questions were discussed about Kazakhstan’s role in the Great Patriotic War and how the heroism of that time contributes to the formation of modern values of peace and sustainable development.

The event was organized by professors of the Department of Religious Studies at al-Farabi KazNU, K.M. Borbasova, K.M. Bishmanov, and first-year PhD student U.N. Kalyakbar. Thanks to their efforts, participants gathered to actively discuss not only the feat of Aliya Moldagulova, but also the significance of each war hero in the formation and preservation of Kazakhstan’s independence.

An important part of the event was the participation of students and faculty in panel discussions, where issues related to the role of Kazakhstani citizens in the fight against fascism were addressed, as well as how the memory of heroes like Aliya Moldagulova influences the cultivation of patriotism in modern society.
