On March 28, senior lecturer of the Department of Recreational Geography and Tourism Isaldayeva S.Zh. held an open lesson on the subject of "Safety Management in the Hospitality Industry" on the topic: "Control Subsystem in Safety Management: Fire Safety".
Second-year students of the educational program "6B11103-Restaurant and Hotel Business" got acquainted with the main tasks of fire safety in hotels, the regulatory framework, automatic fire alarm and fire extinguishing systems, and studied cases and examples of successful fire safety solutions in well-known hotels.
Using brainstorming, individual, pair and group work, students discussed the causes of fires in the hospitality industry, the main threats and risks for guests and employees, measures to prevent them, and tried to rank them by importance.
