On March 27, 2025, together with the master's student of "7M05105-Genetics" Zeynallov Zeynall and 3rd year students in audience 327 from 14:00 to 14:50, an educational event on the topic "Legal literacy is a need of the time" was held.
We remind you that KazNU, the flagship of higher education in the Republic of Kazakhstan, was the first in our country to open the EP "6B05105-Genetics", the graduate model of which, among others, includes the following learning outcome: use methods of molecular genetic examination in forensic laboratories to identify a person and determine kinship; control of GMOs at customs and in sanitary and epidemiological laboratories.
The educational event addressed such issues as: legal regulation, ethical considerations, high-profile cases concerning medical genetic expertise, molecular diagnostics and molecular phenotyping, as well as the separation of the criminal profile and the general genetic passport of an individual, both in the CIS and in Western practice, and compliance with the sustainable development goals of the United Nations.
During the event, many questions were asked, to which comprehensive answers were received. Conducting educational events is an important component of the educational process.
