Visit to the Almaty city museum, dedicated to Nauryz celebration

On March 16, 2025, academic advisor Zhussupova A.I. together with 3, 4th year bachelor students of the EP Genetics visited the Almaty City History Museum, which was opened in 2001. The museum exposition is presented by more than 40 thousand exhibits, divided into 11 eras: "Ancient History of Almaty", "Medieval History of Almaty", "At the Origins of Kazakh Statehood", "Ethnography of Zhetysu", "Vernoye Period of Almaty History", "Almaty in the 20th Century", "Development of Culture and Art", "History of Mountaineering", "Zheltoksan", "Almaty and the Leader of the Nation", "Model of Peace and Harmony". The museum has modern means of displaying exhibits, which allows to demonstrate projections of historical video materials and rare artifacts in the form of holograms. During the event, the delegation visited a special exhibition of Kazakh women's costume. In general, the curatorial event was interesting and informative. The visit to the Almaty city museum became part of the decade of Nauryz celebration under the auspices of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
