The 2nd section of the International Scientific Conference of Students and Young Scientists "Farabi Álemi" was held at the Department of Biophysics, Biomedicine, and Neuroscience.

On April 3, 2025, the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology hosted the International Scientific Conference of Students and Young Scientists, Farabi Álemi. As part of the conference, the Department of Biophysics, Biomedicine and Neuroscience held the 2nd section titled "Modern Issues in Biophysics, Physiology, Biological Education, Biomedicine and Neuroscience"

During the session of the 2nd section, 15 oral and 8 poster presentations were heard. Among them: 1 presentation – Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University (Almaty, Kazakhstan); 2 presentations – Kazakh National Women's Pedagogical University (Almaty, Kazakhstan); 1 presentation – LLP "Scientific-Production Center of Microbiology and Virology" (Almaty, Kazakhstan); 11 presentations – Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi (Almaty, Kazakhstan).

The event was opened by the Chair of the Commission, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Professor, and Head of the Department of Biophysics, Biomedicine, and Neuroscience Almira Melsovna Kustubaeva, who wished the participants success.

A commission was formed to evaluate the participants' work, consisting of:

1. Nurzhanyat Tatukhanovna Ablaykhanova – Candidate of Biological Sciences, Professor of the Department of Biophysics, Biomedicine, and Neuroscience;

2. Gauhar Kubenovna Dathabaeva – Candidate of Biological Sciences, Acting Associate Professor, Deputy Dean for Scientific and Innovative Work and International Relations;

3. Abdrazak Mahanovich Babashev – Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Biophysics, Biomedicine, and Neuroscience;

4. Zhandos Makhabatovich Basygaraev – Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Biophysics, Biomedicine, and Neuroscience.

Based on the results of the competition, the following participants were awarded:

Diploma of the 1st degree - Kassén Kymbat Erlankyzy, 2nd-year master's student, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

Diploma of the 2nd degree - Kerimov Timur Talgatovich, 4th-year student, LLP Scientific-Production Center of Microbiology and Virology.

Diploma of the 2nd degree - Zhumashkyzy Zhansaya and Pernetai Arai, 2nd-year master's students, Kazakh National Women's Pedagogical University.

Diploma of the 3rd degree - Gauharbek Aksunkar Torekhankyzy, 2nd-year master's student, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

Diploma of the 3rd degree - Imasheva Togzhan and Mukhamediev Asanali, 3rd and 5th-year students, Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University.

Diploma of the 3rd degree - Kadirali Zhankerke Aibekkyzy, 2nd-year master's student, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

In addition, other participants were awarded faculty incentive prizes.
