​​​​​​​Analysis of the structure and services of hotel complexes

On April 2, the lecturer of the Department of Recreational Geography and Tourism Zhanerke Tokenova held an open lesson on the topic "Analysis of the structure and services of hotel complexes" in the discipline "Technological services of hotel and restaurant complexes" with 3rd year students of the Kazakh branch of the educational program 6B11103-Restaurant and Hotel Business. The purpose of the open lesson is to study the structure and main divisions of hotel complexes; analyze and compare types of service; develop creative thinking in students.

The open lesson consisted of three main stages: theoretical part, research and practical work. Students were divided into three groups: Group 1 prepared a presentation on the structure and main services of hotel complexes. The slides discussed the types of hotels, their infrastructure and service features. Group 2 collected interesting facts and statistics. They talked about unique hotels in the world, service standards and customer expectations. Group 3 organized a quiz game that helped test the students’ knowledge. This interactive element made the lesson exciting. The open lesson was held at a high level, the students actively participated and expanded their knowledge of the hotel industry. Each group approached their task creatively, presenting useful information. The game format was especially interesting for the participants and helped to consolidate the material studied.
