KazNU supercomputer accelerates research work

At the forum "Integration of Science, Business and production", organized by Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in cooperation with the Akimat of Almaty, the supercomputer cluster attracted special attention.

As a result of this meeting, it was decided that "Qingdao Aucma Import & Export Co." would supply a supercomputer to the Treasury. Soon, the most powerful supercomputer in Central Asia was installed at the educational institution.

According to Zhanseit Tuimebayev, Chairman of the Board and Rector of the University, the supercomputer cluster will not only increase Kazakhstan's competitiveness on the global stage, but will also contribute to the development of domestic infrastructure. It provides extensive training opportunities for qualified personnel in the field of OT and artificial intelligence. Expands the capabilities of computer technology specialists. The supercomputer will not only increase the efficiency and accuracy of scientific research, but also significantly reduce the time spent on scientific research. It contains an application program for complex processing of genetic data. The work here ranges from pre-processing of sequencing data to genome sequence analysis. This program is necessary for scientists working with genetic data, and facilitates and accelerates the process of genomic research", - Zhanseit Tuimebayev said.
