“Discussion of ecological bioengineering and objectives”

On March 28, 2025, the faculty of the Department of Biotechnology organized an event for the students of the 1st and 3st  year of the specialty “Biotechnology” on the topic: “Discussion of ecological bioengineering and objectives”. In light of growing environmental challenges, including climate change, pollution and resource sustainability, the demand for biotechnology and environmental bioengineering professionals is increasing.

Purpose: to expand students' knowledge of the main directions of environmental bioengineering and the relationship of biological objects with the environment, as well as their biotechnological significance.

There is a wide range of different options and possibilities for selecting approaches to assessing the quality of education, depending on the objectives and understanding of what makes education of quality for stakeholders.

“Environmental bioengineering” is a new field that combines environmental, biological and engineering sciences to develop new technologies that solve environmental problems and improve the environment. Thus, environmental bioengineers use their extensive knowledge of waste management, engineering and sciences such as chemistry, biology and soil science to improve human health and the environment through innovation and technology.
