Collaboration with Japanese scientists in the field of artificial intelligence

Scientists of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, representing the Department of Computer Science, made a working visit to Tokai University (Japan). During the trip (March 25-30, 2025), meetings were held with leading experts in the field of artificial intelligence and robotics.
One of the key events of the visit was the discussion of the prospects for cooperation between KazNU and Tokai University with Professor Yoshio Yamamoto, a renowned scientist in the field of robotics and intelligent systems. During the negotiations, the parties discussed possible areas of joint scientific research, educational programs and academic exchanges. Special attention was paid to the development and application of artificial intelligence technologies in robotic systems, as well as the integration of AI into automated solutions for various industries.
Additionally, KazNU scientists toured the advanced laboratories at Tokai University, where research is being conducted on autonomous systems, machine learning, and human-machine interaction. Potential joint projects were discussed, including participation in international grants, and the organization of summer schools and internships for students and young researchers.
The visit affirmed the mutual interest of both institutions in advancing bilateral scientific cooperation and marked a significant step towards strengthening partnerships between KazNU and Tokai University in cutting-edge digital technologies.
