TRINITY COOPERATION - TRENDS OF INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENT OF AL-FARABIYA KAZAKH NATIONAL UNIVERSITY

The forum "Integration of science, business and production" was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, organized jointly with the Akimat of Almaty with the participation of Akim of Almaty Yerbolat Dosayev.

The forum participants included representatives and experts in the field of ecology and environmental protection, seismic safety, as well as companies implementing innovative technologies in production, scientific communities and about 200 representatives of business and stakeholders.

 At the IV meeting of the National Kurultai, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.K.Tokayev set the task of strengthening efforts to create a favorable environment for the widespread introduction of advanced digital solutions and artificial intelligence, as high technologies will become the engine of development of all sectors of the economy.

In his speech, Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev stressed that today's forum is dedicated to cooperation between science, business and production. The basis of cooperation is cooperation in the implementation of major innovative and infrastructural projects, the main of which is joining a specialized economic zone – the Park of Innovative Technologies. In the future, it is planned to build the largest technopark, innovation park and artificial intelligence center among Kazakhstani universities. Al-Farabi Kazakh National University has great opportunities to integrate into the innovation ecosystem of Almaty and commercialize scientific developments. This will give us the opportunity to become a science town. The Center for Innovative Products and High-tech Projects of KazNU "Farabi Hub" was presented to the forum participants. The main tasks include organizing research activities, developing an innovative culture, and improving the startup ecosystem.

The University plans to turn KazNU into a modern and innovative university in the country with a developed and technological infrastructure.

The area of cooperation with the business is the cooperation agreement with the ZTE Corporation. As a result, a joint innovation center was opened on the basis of KazNU. The joint innovation center of ZTE and KazNU named after al-Farabi was created with the aim of expanding cooperation. Work is being carried out in the field of education, development of research activities and developments in the field of information and telecommunication technologies. KazNU has its head office in Almaty. The basis for cooperation in the field of personnel training and innovation in the automotive industry, as well as the development of joint projects on water supply and ecology, will be the signing of a cooperation agreement between KazNU and Astana Motors Manufacturing and Dragon Lakshme Group KZ LLP.

During the open discussion at the forum, the prospects for cooperation between science, business and production to address the current challenges of the urban environment, industry and sustainable development were discussed.
