From March 25 to 30, 2025, a delegation of scientists from the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, representing the Department of Computer Science, paid a working visit to Tokai University (Japan). The main goal of the trip was to strengthen scientific ties and develop cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence and robotics.
As part of the visit, meetings were held with leading Japanese experts in the field of digital technologies. One of the key events was a discussion of the prospects for cooperation with Professor Yoshio Yamamoto, a recognized expert in the field of robotics and intelligent systems. Both parties considered the possibilities of implementing joint scientific research, launching educational programs and conducting academic exchanges.
Particular attention was paid to such areas as the development and implementation of AI technologies in robotic systems, automation of industrial processes and the use of intelligent solutions in various industries. The participants discussed specific steps to create joint laboratories, as well as participation in international research projects.
An important part of the visit was a visit to the modern research laboratories of Tokai University, where the areas of autonomous systems, machine learning and human-machine interaction are actively developing. The parties also discussed the prospects for organizing summer schools, internships and exchange programs for students and young scientists.
This visit became a significant stage in the development of bilateral scientific and educational cooperation between KazNU and Tokai University and laid a solid foundation for further partnership in the field of advanced digital technologies.
