On March 27, 2025, as part of SDG-4 "Quality Education" and SDG-9 "Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure," the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology hosted the "Polymer Battle" quiz. The event was organized by first-year doctoral students of the educational program "8D07135 – Chemical Technology of Organic Substances" from the Department of Chemistry and Technology of Organic Substances, Natural Compounds, and Polymers – U. Sarykulova and E. Abdykalykov. This quiz was part of their teaching practice and aimed to popularize knowledge about polymers among first- to third-year students.
The main goal of the quiz was to enhance students' understanding of polymers—their structure, properties, synthesis, and processing methods—as well as to expand their knowledge of the history of polymer discovery and their applications in various industries.
During this intellectual competition, participants answered questions individually, demonstrating their erudition and knowledge of polymer chemistry. The questions covered both fundamental aspects of the discipline and intriguing facts related to the discovery, development stages, and modern processing technologies of polymers.
The quiz not only increased students' interest in polymer materials but also contributed to the development of their analytical thinking, scientific outlook, and professional competencies essential for future innovative developments in the chemical and polymer industries.
Thus, this event made a significant contribution to the training of young specialists and the development of their scientific potential.
