Within the framework of SDG 4 (Social Responsibility) and SDG 3 (Environmental Responsibility), on March 15, on the eve of the spring holiday of Nauryz, symbolizing a new cycle of life and renewal of nature, the management of Al-Farabi University organized a large-scale clean-up day throughout the university. It involved the teaching staff of all faculties, including the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology. The following teachers took an active part in the university-wide clean-up day: PhD, senior lecturer Litvinenko Yu.A., Umbetova A.K., Iminova R.S. and Kairalapova G.Zh.; PhD, acting professors Kudayberegenova B.M.; PhD, senior lecturer Yelibayeva N.S.; lecturer Asylkhanov Zh.S.

The purpose of the clean-up day is to strengthen the corporate spirit and cohesion of the university teachers and staff, which contributes to better interaction within the educational team. The teachers of the department, in turn, actively demonstrated their commitment to environmental responsibility and care for the environment, and were also happy to bring the symbols of the holiday of spring and revival into the educational process. In addition, participation in the clean-up day increased the tone of physical activity and team spirit of employees, which also corresponds to the principles of a healthy lifestyle. At the same time, improving the appearance and condition of the university territory contributes to the comfort of students, teachers and guests of the university.

 Thus, work ennobles a person, and cleanliness is the key to health, so the clean-up day on Nauryz can be both a symbolic and a practical event that combines cultural, social and environmental goals.
