Faculty members of the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology, Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University – PhD, Associate Professor Mussina A, Senior Lecturer Raimbekova Zh., and PhD, Senior Lecturer Abdullaeva A. are active members of the "Debris Flow Association," a public organization that unites specialists in the study, assessment, and prediction of debris flow processes.
The participation of faculty members in the Debris Flow Association promotes active exchange of experience and knowledge in the field of debris flow research and the development of cooperation in scientific and practical activities aimed at enhancing the resilience of mountainous regions and improving environmental safety. These efforts also contribute to the implementation of SDGs 4 and 13.
The "Debris Flow Association" is an organization that brings together scientists and specialists for the study of debris flows and other natural catastrophic processes, the development of damage assessment and mitigation methods, and the protection of the population.
The active professional activity of faculty members within the Association strengthens scientific-educational cooperation and contributes to the integration of the university into the international scientific community on sustainable natural resource management issues.
