KazNU scientists are developing domestic medicine

The participants of the forum "Integration of Science, Business and Production", held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, were shown products manufactured by the Research Center for Medicinal Plants.

The main purpose of the center is to study medicinal plants native to Kazakhstan. The effective work of the scientific center makes it possible to optimally solve many key problems in the country. In particular, using medicinal plants native to our country opens up the possibility of producing many medicines in Kazakhstan on a natural basis. The Center makes a great contribution both to the development of the country's medical sector and to the development of the country's economy.

Today, the production is equipped with modern equipment. Biologically active additives against coronavirus infection are currently being developed here, protecting against flu and liver diseases and boosting immunity. Herbal teas are also produced that reduce sugar levels in diabetes, regulate blood pressure, improve the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract, and boost immunity.
