A country with educated youth has a strong pedestal

Chairman of the board-Rector of Al – Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev held a meeting with the teaching staff and student youth and discussed the address of the president of the Republic of Kazakhstan "fair Kazakhstan: law and order, economic growth, public optimism".

During the meeting, the head of the University focused on the role of youth in building a just Kazakhstan and drew attention to the significant changes taking place in the country on the initiative of the head of state.

Deans of faculties, veteran teachers, professors, young scientists and students gathered at the event on the theme: "entrusting a just Kazakhstan to future generations is a common task for all of us".

The address of the head of state Kassym-Jomart Tokayev "just Kazakhstan: law and order, economic growth, public optimism" included large-scale plans based on improving the country's economy, improving the well-being of the population, and increasing the personal activity of young people. The issues of development of Science and higher education, strengthening the ties of the best universities with the real sector were discussed. Harmonization of innovation policy with the scientific and technological priorities of the country, increasing the potential of Applied Science in higher education institutions were considered.

Special attention was also paid to the inviolability of national interests, improving the quality of life of the nation, ensuring security and the rule of law. Most of these tasks are implemented in the life of the University, and we will continue to systematically.

"We must build a society in which law and order, knowledge and reason prevail. Citizens, especially young people, are a cultured, innovative and creative nation. Therefore, we must get rid of negative habits that prevent us from becoming a civilized country",- the president said. The principle, expressed in simple language, therefore, I think it is understandable to young people.

I would like to say to the first-year students that you came to the metropolis from all sides. You need to absorb only the best qualities from the big city, from the environment of civilizations, accumulate deep knowledge, intelligence. The president again says: "Our development path for the long term is clear. We have high goals. To achieve this, first of all, we must be able to preserve the unity of the country. We need to show support and respect for each other." This is also a world that our young people can do, and they do not ask for anything difficult. In the same way, the main principle should be the preservation of the unity of the country and mutual peace. "Without unity, there will be no life",- folk wisdom says.

This is not a word spoken for nothing. The president has said this many times before. "Independence is the most sacred, cherished value, the most important asset". Knowing the value of this invaluable value and developing a powerful Kazakhstan is in the hands of young people. The head of state calls on all of us to become one country and build a just and developed Kazakhstan together.

"It is a common task for all of us to entrust the future generation of a state that gives equal opportunities to everyone and everyone, that is, a just Kazakhstan", - he said.

We have not reached such a comfortable life as today. Each period, each time, has its own difficulties. What chaos, wars are happening around us now, you see it too. What state did the United, once peaceful states end up in after the collapse of the Soviet Union? The civil war in Tajikistan, the conflicts in the bag countries, the confrontation between Armenia and fraternal Azerbaijan, the difficult situation between Russia and Ukraine. In this situation, as our president said, Can we defend the country and the land, are we ready to defend? As you know, our border stretches for seven and a half thousand kilometers. What should we be in order to protect our independence and sovereignty? For him, it is necessary to be a country with strong defenses, strong weapons, knowledge and civilization that can compete. The head of state adheres to this policy. I am sure that our teachers will work hard to achieve the common goal, and our students will become exemplary students.

Dear youth, this year marks the 90th anniversary of our university. In ten years we will have a century of history. One of the first established educational institutions in the country. Abai Pedagogical University was founded in 1928, and our university was founded in 1934. On January 15, 1934, the first 54 students were admitted, who were educated at two faculties, namely the physics and mathematics and biology. Now there are more than 26 thousand students in 16 faculties. We are proud to say that such prominent Kazakh figures as Mukhtar Auezov, Kanysh Satbayev, Alkey Margulan, Zeynolla Kabdolov gave lectures at this university. Dinmukhamed Kunayev, a prominent figure of our people, led the construction of the modern town of kaznu. Professor Askar Zakarin, academician Omirbek Zholdasbekov are also credited. Abish Kekilbayev, Kadyr Myrzagaliyev, Tumanbay Moldagaliyev, Olzhas Suleimenov, Azilkhan Nurshayikov, Kemel Tokayev, Saat Ashimbayev, Myrzatai Zholdasbekov were students like you.

In the first years of the country's independence, graduates and teachers of kaznu were invited to the civil service. All of them worked hard and held high positions. In particular, the prime ministers of the Republic of Kazakhstan: Imangali Tasmagambetov, Bakytzhan Sagintayev, Alikhan Smailov. In his address, the head of state noted the opening of six leading foreign universities. Two of them were opened at our university. In particular, the Moscow National Nuclear Research University and the north-western Polytechnic University. Earlier, a branch of kaznu was opened in Istanbul, Bishkek with the participation of the President. In the future, it is planned to launch a branch of kaznu at F. M. Dostoevsky Omsk State University.

This year, our educational institution improved its performance in the international QS WUR rating by 67 positions. It entered the top 200 universities in the world and took 163rd place. And in the international ranking of Times Higher Education University Impact Rankings-2024, the top was ranked 401-600. The educational institution immediately advanced by 400 positions,achieving a record. It was ranked 29th in the international QS Asia University Rankings.

Today, according to the status of a scientific research university, the university is making efforts to develop University Science in a comprehensive manner.

This year, a number of laboratories were transferred for the benefit of teachers and students. Within the framework of the megagrant of 3.8 billion tenge won by our geographers, the scientific center "Sustainable Development and rational nature management" was opened at the faculty. 10 Innovation laboratories that implement the Sustainable Development Goals are aimed at fully ensuring the main indicators of the National Development Plan. The Kazakh-Chinese joint laboratory "technology and application of remote sensing" was launched. The new center will monitor natural threats in the Central Asian region, such as climate change, water scarcity, drought, land degradation, floods and earthquakes in the region. A modern cluster of nine scientific laboratories "Farabi Chem Science", opened at the Faculty of chemistry and Chemical Technology, was presented. In-depth research in the field of petrochemistry is carried out here.

Optimal methods for obtaining domestic medical and biological means and antibacterial protective coatings will be developed. Galvanic coatings of the research and production center "Chemical Coating innovations" (Galvanic) contribute to the development of machine-building production. On the day of science workers, the modern Observatory "Farabi" was put into operation. Here, those interested in the space world will learn methods for processing, collecting and distributing data, remote control, using photometers, working with large telescopes. The laboratory "5G/5.5 G Communication Technologies" was established on the territory of the branch of the Northwestern Polytechnic University of China. The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the State Council of the people's Republic of China Liu Gozhong.

The center will train specialists in telecommunications systems, master new technologies, improve the speed of the internet, and introduce a 6G network. Now the construction of the Innovation Center" Farabi HUB " has been completed.

Within the framework of the meeting of the Council of heads of state of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, two agreements were reached.

Within the framework of the meeting between the head of state Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the president of the people's Republic of China Xi Jinping, an official document on the installation of a supercomputer was signed. This scientific laboratory allows scientists-experts to work with large amounts of data through the use of artificial intelligence technologies. The second agreement is that since 2025, kaznu will launch a nanosatellite into space.

It was planned to implement microsatellite scientific research projects with the Northwestern Polytechnic University of China.

The park of innovative technologies of kaznu is considering the opening of an engineering competence center for industrial robotics and robotization.

And international communication is one of the most important strategic directions of the educational institution.

Kaznu has close relations with more than 650 universities and organizations in Western and Eastern Europe, North America, Asia and the Pacific region. The University implements a dual degree program with universities in Europe, the United States, Southeast Asia, and Russia in 120 specialties. Our students are studying at universities in Europe, as well as at universities in Turkey, Russia, South Korea, Japan, China and other countries.

In subsequent years, about 250 foreign students from the USA, Japan, Germany, Russia, France, Great Britain, China, Turkey, the Netherlands, Belgium, Kyrgyzstan, Slovakia came to the University.

In total, 3928 foreign students from 54 countries study at kaznu. We all witnessed the recent Summer Olympics in Paris. At the same international competition, our graduates and 12 athletes competed. Eldos Smetov won gold medals, Gusman Kyrgyzbayev, Nariman Kurbanov won silver medals. Abiba Abuzhakynova and Arina Altukhova are our students.

In early summer, the 3,000-seat stadium, built in 1986, was overhauled and put into operation. The new stadium meets the requirements of the top 1 in Central Asia, meets international standards. Do not waste your free time and go in for sports.

There are enough favorable conditions created for students on the campus of kaznu. Prior to this, the repair of educational buildings was carried out, and the dormitories were renovated. A dining room, a network of coffee shops, a publishing and copy center were opened. At the moment, the second stage of construction of kaznu is underway.

The construction work is supported by the head of state. As part of the planned construction, the palace of students named after U. Zholdasbekov is undergoing major repairs. In addition, the construction of educational buildings and a hostel has begun.

In the coming months, we will celebrate the 90th anniversary of our university. Now we are actively preparing for the anniversary. Several international events and summits are planned. I think that this year will be a success for our team.
