1st year students of the Meteorology educational program visited the museum of Dinmukhamed Akhmetovich Kunaev

On February 5, students of the 1st year of the Meteorology educational program visited the museum, the house museum of Dinmukhamed Kunaev.

Dinmukhamed (Dimash) Akhmetovich Kunaev (January 12, 1912, Verniy – August 22, 1993, Almaty) was a Soviet statesman and public figure, three times Hero of Socialist Labor, academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR, Doctor of Technical Sciences. First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan (1960-1962 and 1964-1986) and member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the CPSU (1971-1987).

The museum staff told the biography of Dimash Akhmetovich, about his family, student life at the Moscow Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals, about his work in his homeland, about his collective work in the mining sector. Dimash Akhmetovich collected lighters, weapons and loved to read books. The students were very surprised by the rich library in the Museum House.
