On April 2, 2025, first-year master's student of the educational program 7M11101-Tourism of the Department of Recreational Geography and Tourism, Zhuldyz Askarkyzy Zaminova, held an open curatorial hour as part of her teaching practice.

The curatorial hour was held for second-year students of the educational program 6B11101-Tourism. The topic of the curatorial hour was "Festivals - a way to understand the history of the people." During the meeting, students get acquainted with the history of various national festivals in some countries of the world, their significance in the life of the people, as well as how holidays reflect the customs, beliefs and worldview of their ancestors. Particular attention was paid to how modern forms of festivals continue to maintain a connection with history and pass it on to new generations. The event contributed to the formation of interest in studying the culture of their own and other peoples, strengthening respect for historical roots.
