The Department of Geography, Land Management, and Cadastre at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted Professor Stephen Young from the Department of Geography and Sustainability at Salem State University (USA)

On April 8, 2025, the Department of Geography, Land Management, and Cadastre at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted Professor Stephen Young from the Department of Geography and Sustainability at Salem State University (USA).

Professor Young conducted a workshop titled "TerrSet liberaGIS Geospatial Monitoring and Modeling Software Workshop". Faculty members, doctoral and master's students actively participated, gaining valuable insights into modern geospatial data processing techniques and exchanging experience with an international expert.

Professor Young will continue to collaborate closely with master's and doctoral students for two weeks, providing guidance on their dissertation topics and conducting scientific research activities.
