On March 14, 2025, the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University celebrated the onset of spring by organizing "Korusu kuni", a bright and cheerful event that marked the onset of Nauryz.
The bright, spring holiday Korusu kuni – Amal holiday with the revival of national traditions has firmly entered the life of Kazakhstanis. Once upon a time, on this day in the Kazakh steppe, they counted livestock and congratulated each other on the onset of warm, fine days. On this day, it is customary to meet with relatives and friends, greeting with a handshake, warm hugs and the words "Bir zhasynyzben!", forgive offenses, dress up in festive clothes, cover the dustarkhan and give gifts.
