Success of students of the Far East Department in an important and significant event at the Faculty of Philology of the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University

On 14 April, a special and spiritually significant event took place at the Philology Department of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University.

The International Olympiad, organised by the Department of Oriental Philology and Translation, brought together 1-2 year students from all over the country who competed in expressive reading of Abai Kunanbaev's spiritual legacy in Kazakh, Russian, English, Arabic, Turkish, Korean and Uyghur.

The main goal of the event was to inspire young people to deeply study the heritage of the great poet and pass it on to future generations through the artistic performance of Abai's profound poems and prose in different languages of the world. Each language, having its unique melody and beauty, gave new colours to Abay's poems, which allowed them to reach the hearts of the listeners. The students demonstrated their talents and proved the value of linking national values with world literature. In the Olympiad also took part students of the 2nd year of the Korean group of the Department of Oriental Studies: Tlektes Daniyar Mirkhatuly, Sametkan Togzhan Bolatkyzy and Muratkhan Erkezhan Askhatkyzy.

The talent of our student Muratkhan Yerkezhan shone on the stage, and her hard work has borne fruit. Her achievement - 3rd place - became a source of joy and pride for everyone. She was able to fully reveal her linguistic and creative abilities. This success is not only her personal achievement, but also the pride of the whole university. The student's performance won the hearts of the audience and she was recognised as one of the best participants of the Olympiad.

This Olympiad became a symbol of popularisation of Abay's heritage in world languages and respect for the depth of Kazakh literature. Muratkhan Yerkezhan's achievement among the winners was a vivid confirmation of the high level of her skills.
