New projects are being implemented with Chinese partners

A delegation of the leadership of the Chinese company Tus-Holdings Co. visited al-Farabi Kazakh National University on a working visit. The guests got acquainted with the scientific infrastructure of the university and met with the rector.

It should be recalled that Mayor of Almaty Yerbolat Dosayev visited Tus-Holdings Co. during his working trip to China. The Chairman of the Board of Directors met with Wang Ju and discussed the prospects for cooperation in the field of innovation, technological development and investment projects. As a result of this meeting, representatives of the Chinese holding company paid a special working visit to KazNU.

During the meeting, Chairman of the Management Board - Rector of KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebayev and Vice President of Tus-Holdings Co. Francis Chang signed a memorandum of bilateral partnership.

As part of the agreement, the parties will work together in the future to develop the scientific infrastructure. This will intensify efforts to commercialize and implement joint projects in the field of technology and innovation. The parties will jointly mobilize companies from the two countries to implement these works and bring innovative projects to the market.

During the talks, Zhanseit Tuimebayev spoke about the activities and achievements of KazNU and focused on the ongoing work to strengthen the university's partnerships with Chinese universities and leading companies. In addition, he presented proposals on projects that will be implemented within the framework of the concluded agreement.

"Within the framework of the memorandum, we need to develop a special roadmap. This determines the projects and initiatives that will be jointly implemented in the future. In addition, I propose to open a Tus-Holdings Co. center on the basis of KazNU. It will become a branch of the holding in Kazakhstan. Thanks to this department, it will be possible to carry out work in Kazakhstan and neighboring countries", - said the rector.

In turn, Francis Chan thanked the management of the educational institution for their attention. "Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is one of the most important universities in Kazakhstan. I had heard a lot about the university before that. Today we arrived at the educational institution, got acquainted with the scientific infrastructure of KaNU. I am confident that the memorandum signed between the university and the company will give a new impetus to the comprehensive development of partnership relations", - said the Vice President.

Tus-Holdings Co. is a scientific and technological investment public-private holding group established on the basis of Tsinghua University. Its market capitalization is 28 billion US dollars.
