National health as a factor of public well-being (Report on the open educational event)

On April 11, 2025, at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, 1st-year master’s students of the “7M11401 – Social Work” educational program, A.Ö. Raybek and N. Tagan, held an open educational event titled “National Health as a Factor of Public Well-being.”
The purpose of the event was to promote healthy lifestyles, raise awareness of public health, and foster a health-conscious culture among youth.
Participants were presented with research-based informational materials and took part in interactive activities. Special focus was placed on the importance of sleep and its physiological and psychological impact. WHO data on sleep deprivation and ways to improve sleep quality were discussed.
Key aspects of nutrition, physical activity, and mental well-being were covered. Through discussion and small games, students actively engaged with the topic and shared their views.
The event concluded with feedback collection. Students highlighted the relevance and practical value of the session. This initiative proved to be a meaningful and educational experience, enhancing awareness of health issues and encouraging responsibility for personal well-being.
