Student round table on the topic: "Medicine of the Future. The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine"

On April 15, 2025, a student round table on the topic "Medicine of the Future. The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine" was held at the Department of Internal Medicine at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The event was attended by students, doctoral candidates, and young scientists.

The students discussed the future of medicine and the role of artificial intelligence.

The main goal of the round table was to discuss the prospects of using artificial intelligence (AI) in various areas of medicine — from diagnostics and rehabilitation to administration and personalized treatment approaches.

The participants discussed:

• Which medical tasks are already being solved with the help of AI;

• Can an algorithm replace a doctor, or is it merely a tool in the doctor's hands;

• What the healthcare system will look like in 10-20 years.

A particular focus was the discussion of how the role of the doctor will change in the face of rapid digital technological advancements.

The organizers thanked all the participants for their interest in the topic and emphasized the importance of preparing future doctors to work in the era of digital healthcare.

At the end of the meeting, a ceremonial award ceremony for the speakers took place. The authors of the best reports and the most active participants in the discussion were awarded certificates of appreciation and commemorative gifts.
