Conducting the "Lukoil Petrogames" Olympiad

n February 27–28, 2025, the "Lukoil Petrogames" Olympiad was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, organized with the support of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology. The sponsor of the event was Lukoil Company.

We, the first-year master’s students majoring in Petrochemistry — Nuryim Bekzat, Ersainova Dana, Amanzholov Aldiyar, and Matkir Zhanabay — actively participated in organizing and conducting the Olympiad as volunteers.

Over two days, participants went through three stages: testing, blitz questions, and problem-solving. Bachelor's students from various universities participated, demonstrating their knowledge and skills in chemical technology and petrochemistry.

At the end of the competition, winners were awarded cash prizes, memorable gifts, and an opportunity for an internship at Lukoil.

This event became an important part of our teaching practice, providing us with valuable experience in working with students and developing our organizational and communication skills. The Olympiad made a significant contribution to the professional development of students and strengthened the ties between universities and industry companies.
