1,000 people sang Abai's songs at the KazNU

In the Kazakh National University Al-Farabi, 1,000 people performed the Abai Kunanbaiuly "Kozimnin karasy" and "Zhelsiz tunde zharyk ai".

Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, noted that studying and popularizing the heritage of Abai is a common task for everyone.  Also in his speech, the rector said that currently the interest of young people in Abai, his rich heritage and wisdom is growing every year.

"In his speech, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev gave instructions: "We must honorably celebrate the 180th anniversary of the great Abai." This year, not only Kazakhstan, but the entire world community is celebrating the 180th anniversary of the great son of the Kazakh people, poet Abai Kunanbaiuly at the state and international levels. At the same time, KazNU organizes various conferences, symposiums and meetings dedicated to the poet's life and work.The Abai Research Institute has been successfully operating at the University since 2009. The Institute's scientists have published 10 volumes of the Anthology of Abai Studies.  The university is actively working to promote the legacy of the great poet", - said the rector.

The audience sang the songs "Kozimnin karasy" and "Zhelsiz tunde zharyk ai" to wonderful music. This is not just a song, but a sign of deep worship for Abai's legacy. The harmony of thousands of voices has become a symbol of the unity of the people and the national spirit.
