Customs and tariff regulation has been reviewed

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted an international scientific and practical conference on "Topical issues of customs and tariff regulation in the context of international economic integration", dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Eurasian Economic Union and the 70th anniversary of the Faculty of Law.
The event, organized by the Department of Customs, Financial and Environmental Law of the Faculty of Law, brought together domestic and foreign scientists, representatives of government agencies of the Republic of Kazakhstan, international and national experts, representatives of civil society, human rights organizations and students.
The purpose of the event is to discuss topical issues of customs and tariff regulation in the context of international economic integration, as well as to identify strategic directions for customs administration in the framework of the transition to sustainable development.
At the conference, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Ualikhan Akhatov, congratulated the faculty staff on their anniversary and noted that in the context of modern globalization, international economic integration has become one of the main factors ensuring close ties between states.
Currently, there is an intensive development of integration processes in the global economy. The deepening of mutual economic ties between the countries increases the relevance of customs and tariff policy. The conference participants noted that the system of customs and tariff regulation currently does not always meet global standards. This creates obstacles to the freedom of international trade and increases administrative barriers at the border.
The participants of the scientific conference focused on strengthening the economic development of the country and improving the regulatory framework of the customs and tax legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The participants comprehensively discussed current trends in the development of customs control technologies, the transformation of transport and logistics systems and current practices applied in different countries.
The conference has become a platform for the exchange of experience and opinions, which will contribute to the deepening of knowledge and the development of professional contacts among scientists and practitioners in the field of customs regulation.
