On April 22, 2025, the 4th-year students majoring in "6B02303 – Foreign Philology" under the guidance of curator Bekturova E.K., organized an event on the topic: SDG 14 "Conservation of Marine Ecosystems" in Dormitory No.17.
Goals 14: Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development.
Through discussion, the students identified the key causes of current environmental problems. Environmental pollution represents the greatest threat to our planet and to the lives of future generations. Between 5 and 12 million tons of plastic end up in the ocean every year. This has an extremely negative effect on marine animals and microorganisms.
The event concluded with an active discussion, where the participants shared their ideas and suggestions on how they can contribute to promoting sustainable development and environmental protection in their daily lives.
